During the time I and my wife grew up in the sixties and seventies ministers preached on repentance, the blood of Jesus, holiness, salvation and the cross. During the last several decades something changed. The enemy has sown into the church body a "new gospel". This new gospel is centered on the lust of the flesh, pride of life and lust of the eye. Jesus rejected all of this and so must we.
